Rattlesnake Pool is a popular swimming hole located in Stow, Maine. The pool is fed by Rattlesnake Brook and the water temperature remains fairly cool even during the hottest summer days. It’s a great spot for cooling off on hot days or taking a leisurely swim in its shallow waters.

Details about Rattlesnake Pool
The pool itself is about 10 feet deep and 20 feet wide with plenty of room to wade around and explore the area. There are some large rocks that people can jump from into the deeper parts of the pool if they’re brave enough. The sides of the pool have nice grassy areas for sunbathing or picnicking, as well as several trees providing shade from the sun’s rays.
The pool is fed by several streams from nearby mountains and has been known to be quite deep at times. The pool was named after the rattlesnakes that inhabit its waters, although sightings are rare nowadays due to conservation efforts. There are trails leading out from either side of Rattlesnake Pool which offer beautiful views of surrounding woods and wildlife.
