Buck’s Pocket State Park is located in the northern part of Alabama, just north of Guntersville. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities including camping, hiking, fishing and canoeing. One unique feature of the park is its Point Rock Boardwalk, which runs along the edge of a cliff overlooking Buck’s Pocket Creek Gorge.

The boardwalk provides visitors with breathtaking views and access to some great fishing spots at the base of the gorge. Along the boardwalk there are several interpretive signs that explain how this area was formed by erosion over millions of years as well as information about local wildlife and plants found in this region. Visitors can also take advantage of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout for rest stops or picnics during their journey down the boardwalk. Whether you’re looking for an easy stroll through nature or an adventure into rock climbing territory, Buck’s Pocket State Park has something for everyone!
