Located in Sequoia National Forest, Lake Isabella Hot Springs resort is the perfect destination for those seeking a nice relaxing soak surrounding by California’s natural landscape. It’s owned and operated by extremely nice Koreans who do a great job at maintaining the area and treating every visitor as one of their own. This is definitely a hot spring that needs to be on your list of places to visit.

There are two different hot spring pools at Lake Isabella. The more popular one has cascading waters that create a scenic waterfall for you to sit under. Once you are done soaking in the natural mineral waters, head on out into the Sequoia National Forest where there is nearby hiking trails to explore. Some of the more popular ones to try are:
- Dome Rock Trail
- Isabella Peak – Coso Mine Loop Trail
- Johnsondale Bridge River Trail
- Kern River Trail
- Mill Creek Trail
- Remington Hot Spring Trail
- Trail of 100 Giants
- Unal Trail
There aren’t many places in California that offer a full day of relaxation and adventure so close to each other.

From Bakersfield, California – Map
1. Start on CA-178 East for 40 miles
2. Take exit 42 towards Lake Isabella
3. Make a right on Elizabeth Norris road
4. Make a left onto Lake Isabella which will take you to your destination.
