Georgian Bay Island National Park features some of the best camping in Ontario, Canada. Located directly on an island there are campgrounds all along the coast and shorelines of Beausoleil Island. This island is unfortunately the only place where you can enjoy camping, but if you can get there during your vacation, you’ll see why people from all over the world come here.

To make it even more difficult for you to enjoy camping, you can only access Beausoleil by boat. There is a ferry that can take you over if you don’t have a boat on hand. Once on the island it’s time to pitch up your tent, start a fire, and enjoy some of the best sunsets and nighttime skies in Canada. Georgia Bay does only offer tent camping and access to some very primitive areas and campgrounds. If that isn’t too you liking, nearby there are campgrounds that off cabins for rent such as Cedar Springs and Christian Beach. here you can have a few extra amenities like toilets an showers.
103 campsites are available for your pleasure along with 10 cabins if you want to upgrade. Everything is first come first serve so make sure you travel to the island early and find the perfect camping area.

Craigleith Provincial Park – Located under Blue Mountain, Craigleith Park allows camping all down the shoreline with prime locations to fish or boat. It’s only a short distance to Wasaga Beach if you want to relax under the summer sun or Bruce Trail for some great daytime hikes. There are picnic areas for a great afternoon lunch or to sit at and watch the best Ontario sunsets. Reservations to Craigleith Provincial Park are recommended.
Wasaga Beach – With the worlds largest freshwater beach, there are countless activities to do in the area. Their resort has chalets to accommodate large family and is only minutes away from the beach.
Memorial Park – With over 100 campsites to choose from, Memorial Park has some awesome camping right on Georgian Bay beach and offers picnic areas, playgrounds for the kids, an even a put put course. If you have a furry friend, a section of the beach is even secluded as a dog park area.
