General Information
Breitenbush Hot Springs comprises seven natural pools, set up in two different areas: the sacred meadow and the concrete patio. The Sacred Meadow is across the forest line, overlooking the river. This meadow contains three pools with rocky beds, each big enough for 6 to 10 pools. One of these is referred to as the quiet or silent pool. This pool overlooks the river below and allows you to relax as you take in the surrounding beauty. Conversations are allowed in the other two pools; these overlook the meadows and the mountains.
All three pools get their water from Breitenbush Hot Springs. The other four pools are located behind the lodge, lying in a concrete patio, next to the river. Each of these four pools receives water from a geothermal well and can accommodate 4 to 6 people comfortably. Officially referred to as the spiral tubs, these pools are rich in minerals. Adjacent to them is an 8th cedar tub pool, but this one contains cold water for a quick plunge. The average temperature of all seven hot pools is between 100oF or 38oC and 110oF to 43oC. However, the surface temperature of the springs is around 180oF or 82oC
Breitenbush Hot Springs is rich in calcite, sulfate, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, quartz and other minerals.
