Hollywood Beach is 6 miles of well kept oceanfront access that sits just north of Miami. This beach offers access to some of South Florida’s unique vibe with funky art-deco architecture paired with a vibrant modern city life and pristine beach views.
With sun-kissed golden sand, clear temperate waters, and plenty of seaside life, expect your trip to Hollywood Beach to be the first of many.
This area does tend to lean more on the commercialized touristy-type Florida beach experience, so expect to see some higher prices than other more secluded beaches. This is especially the case when it comes to parking or lodging.
But don’t let this steer you away from this fantastic location. Even though it does see many crowds during the summer months, it is nothing compared to higher trafficked beaches in the area.

Activities
Swimming, fishing, surfing, and even more land centric activities like biking or jogging on the concrete promenade that follows the coast.
The center of fun at Hollywood is undoubtedly the boardwalk. This area is complete with lots of restaurants to choose from, quaint and quirky shops, and even family-focused attractions.
You can also find an abundance of locations to rent a bike, so you can ride along the 2.5 miles of brick-paved boardwalk in style.
Amenities

Clean bathrooms, showers, sunbeds, and several playgrounds dot the stretch of sandy beach. There are plenty of lifeguards to patrol the beaches and lots of access to parking as well.
Be wary of finding parking though as, during the peak season, you can expect to shell out upwards of $30 for a spot for the day. Get there early to find the best and cheapest parking.
There is also a free trolley that can take visitors into neighboring downtown Hollywood. So if you want to experience all the town has to offer you can always leave your car at the beach.
Nearby Attractions
At the end of the boardwalk, you will find Hollywood North Beach Park. The park cuts across from the Atlantic to the Intracoastal Waterway so that you can enjoy some fantastic views of both.
Hollywood North Beach Park offers many amazing amenities and even access to the historic Hunter House, which can be rented for private events.
In the park, you will also find the Hollywood Beach Dog Park, one of the few places in town where you can let your four-legged friend have some sandy fun.
Fun Facts
Scenes from Marley and Me were partially filmed in the area. In fact, the Hollywood Beach Dog Park is featured in several shots.
